The 35th Annual Commemoration Mass for Black History Month will begin with a concert featuring the Eglin Air Force Base Brotherhood Gospel Choir and the International Voices of Zion Praise Dancers, Eglin AFB Chapel. Mass will begin at 2:30 with the principal Celebrant being the Most Reverend Gregory L Parkes, Bishop of Pensacola- Tallahassee Diocese and the Homilist being Reverend Anthony Bozeman, SSJ of St. Raymond-St. Leo Parish, New Orleans, LA.
Music during Mass will be done by the combined diocesan choirs from St. Joseph Catholic, St. Anthony, St. Mary, and St. Peters and directed by Mr. Gabriel Brown. The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Honor Guards of St. Peter Claver, Howard J. Lesch, FWB Assembly, Crestview Assembly, and Niceville/Bluewater Bay Assembly will also be in attendance.
A reception will follow in the Monsignor Mullins Parish Life Center.
