In need of volunteers to work with the refugees. There are several capacities in which a person can work with a refugee. All are welcome to join the women of St Sylvester. Everyone can assist in their own little way. The mission is to make end of life a little more tolerable for folks by giving them little gifts. We work on different projects making lap blankets, hats, booties, walker bags and many other great gifts. We would love to have you join us....all talents are welcome. Donations of fabric or yarn we can always accept.
In need of families that are willing to provide a temporary home and care for infants receiving services through our program. You will be required to go through a full licensing process with our assistance similar to the foster care system; however, these homes are available strictly for Catholic Charities’ use.
This organization is composed primarily of volunteers who act as advocates in the court system for abused, abandoned or neglected children. The volunteer works with a case coordinator and attorney, to address the best interests of these children. Volunteers develop relationships with children who often have had no stable adult in their life, showing these children that someone truly cares about them. If you have a love for children and the ability to commit to walking with a child through a difficult time in his/her life…the Guardian ad Litem Program needs you.
